This Matai Gallery medium art map focuses on the stunning landscape around Lake Wānaka, with Roys Peak taking a strong and dramatic place within the design. Rather than focusing mainly on the lake depths, this piece celebrates the surrounding mountains, walking tracks, town streets and natural features that make Wānaka so memorable.
All major walking tracks in the area are marked, along with full street detail of Wānaka town. The lake contours are also engraved, giving a subtle sense of the depth and scale of Lake Wānaka so close to the township.
Carefully constructed by hand, layer by layer, in our Wairarapa workshop, this ten-layer bamboo art map brings remarkable depth, texture and presence to a landscape shaped by lake, mountains, walking tracks and memory.
Choose from a black or white frame to suit your space. Made from layered bamboo ply and framed in FSC pine, each map is carefully finished by hand. Due to the handmade construction and natural materials used, each piece may vary slightly from the image shown, making every map unique.
